Notice of OFAC Sanctions Actions
What happened
The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is publishing updates to the identifying information for one or more persons on its Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List (SDN List). Additionally, OFAC announced that the property and interests in property of one or more persons have been unblocked and these persons have been removed from the SDN List, effective June 11, 2026. This notice was signed by Bradley T. Smith, Director, Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Why it matters
This action directly impacts individuals and entities previously subject to U.S. sanctions, either by updating their official records or by removing them entirely from the sanctions list. Being unblocked means these persons or entities can now have their property and interests in property, previously frozen, released.
