Notice of OFAC Sanctions Action

What happened

The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) unblocked the property and interests in property of one person and removed them from the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List (SDN List). OFAC also added one or more persons to the SDN List after determining that legal criteria were met. All property and interests in property subject to U.S. jurisdiction of these newly listed persons are now blocked.

Why it matters

This action means U.S. persons are generally prohibited from engaging in financial transactions with those newly added to the SDN List. The unblocking means one person can now access their assets and conduct transactions that were previously restricted. These changes impact who can conduct business within the U.S. financial system.

Who it affects

  • One unblocked person
  • One or more newly sanctioned persons
  • U.S. persons (individuals and businesses)
  • Entities conducting international transactions
